INTRODUCING: NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF IMO STATE STUDENTS (NAISS) A SOCIO-CULTURAL STUDENTS ORGANIZATION 

National Association of Imo State Students, OAU Chapter, is a unique sociocultural organization established to serve as a unifying body for the propagation of students hailing from Imo state. Our sole aim is to promote unity and academic excellence, foster cultural integration and the standardized welfare of Imo State students within the university community. Importantly, creating a platform for networking, cultural exchange and academic support and also enhancing the overall student experience and foster a sense of belonging among our members. Encouraging unity, peace, brotherly love and mutual interaction among Imostudents in OAU, Ile-Ife. Avenue to provide a community where Imo State students will get acquainted with one another and relate more closely as brothers and sisters irrespective of their local community and interact and cooperate beyond the boundaries of the state in the realization of Igbo cultural values and identities.

The National Association of Imo State Students aims at promoting the good name of the State and the Igbo Culture at large and the overall cultural heritage of the Igbo community. We create a veritable forum for the cultural, social, intellectual, physical and moral development and upliftment of members. To discourage members from involving in examination malpractices, indecent dressing, hooliganism, a secret cult, anti-social acts and engaging in riots, mobbing and other immoral escapades through seminars, symposia, lectures, programmes, activities and campaigns. We have the interest, welfare and betterment of the generality of Imo StateStudents in Obafemi Awolowo University at heart to maintaining a vast high standard of Behavioural Ethics in supporting the Imo State Government on all its progressive positions to improve the standard of education in the lives of our members.

We organize seminars, symposia, debates, workshops and other cultural activities to create awareness for ethnic identity, and cultural development and encourage a harmonious student-government relationship. We condemned and opposed all types of injustices, oppression and victimization through constitutional means and co-operate with similar student organization(s) within and outside Nigeria. Improvement and protection of the constitution, the good image and the interest of members is our utmost priority.
